A person.
Behind
the pixels.
I’m Andrew Wilkinson. I build websites and digital tools from the Meon Valley in Hampshire. I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I still like working out how things could work better.

New name.
Same roots.
Source 120 carries my work as Meon Valley Web forward, bringing websites, hosting, software and experiments together under one name.
The River Meon drops around 120 metres from its source to the sea. The name connects where I’m based with the source code behind what I build.
A little
history.
My web development career began in the early days of the web. Before 2007, my work included digital projects for HSBC, Hoseasons, Eastern Electricity, French Country Cottages and TravelBag.
Life changed in 2007 when my daughter Sophie was seriously injured in a road traffic accident. Through the years she spent in hospital, I kept learning and keeping up with web development whenever I could.
We eventually brought Sophie home to the Meon Valley. The experience changed how I think about time, accessibility and the support families need. It also made charity work a lasting part of what I do.
Meon Valley Web became a home for my website work, with Southdowns Web exploring the hosting side. Source 120 brings those interests together with the practical tools and experiments that have grown alongside them.

Care is in
the details.
01
Build it carefully.
Version-controlled code, a staging environment and checks before a site goes live. The quieter work behind a dependable website.
02
Make it usable.
Mobile layouts, readable content and accessible journeys, with speed and search foundations considered from the beginning.
03
Look after it.
Hosting, security updates, backups and ongoing improvements. Support from someone who understands how the site was built.
04
Keep it clear.
Plain explanations and transparent pricing. A clear scope, an agreed cost and a conversation when something changes.
The right
tools.
WordPress when you need familiar publishing tools. Astro for fast, focused websites. The two together when a headless setup makes sense. Laravel for custom applications and APIs.
The work can include design and development, hosting and maintenance, or a useful connection between systems you already use. We start with what you need the technology to do.
